The NHS in North West London and Public Health England (are well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to protect patients, our community and NHS staff while ensuring as many services as possible are available to the public.

If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus including a new continuous cough/high temperature/loss of smell or taste, you are advised to stay at home for 7 days.

Please do not book a GP appointment or attend your GP practice.

If you live with other people, they should stay at home for at least 14 days, to avoid spreading the infection outside the home. After 14 days, anyone you live with who does not have symptoms can return to their normal routine.

But, if anyone in your home gets symptoms, they should stay at home for 7 days from the day their symptoms start. Even if it means they’re at home for longer than 14 days. The most up-to-date public guidance is always online at

If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.

Only call 111 direct if you are advised to do so by the online service or you cannot go online.

We would like to inform you that from Monday 16th March 2020 all appointment requests to see a doctor or nurse will be triaged by phone. The reception staff will ask for your contact telephone number and a brief message to enable the doctor or nurse to prioritise calls according to clinical need. If the clinician decides that it is safe and appropriate for you to be seen face to face, he or she will arrange this with you, usually on the same day.

If you are asked to come to the surgery please wear a mask and gloves if you have them; masks and gloves will be provided if you do not have your own.

Please do not arrive to the appointment early.

Upon arrival at the surgery the clinician will check your temperature and ask you some screenign questions.


We are taking prescription requests over the phone – please nominate a pharmacy where you would like us to send your prescription.

Where possible please use our online prescription request service  which will save you time in a call queue.

Primary care staff across each borough will be able to access your full medical record without consent during the COVID-19 pandemic but will only do so when this is necessary to provide you with care. They will be required to use a smart card which confirms their identity, and which limits their access and actions to those appropriate for their role. They will all have been trained to understand their professional and legal responsibilities in providing you with care.
